Running 30+ boost?

Hi Eric,
If I run north of 30 psi, with a 3 bar map will the PL record above the 30 psi?

Powerlogger can only log what the MAP sensor is capable of reading. You'll need a 3.5bar MAP if you're going that high with the boost.

Thanks Dave..........whats the 3.5 bar read to? And are these readily available and same as the 3 bar, just plug n play?

I guess what I'm asking is there a 3.5 bar that's the same as the 3 bar (plug n play) I see the one on here by AEM that Eric offers. Ill assume no.
And I see the 3.5 one Eric has reads to 35

Yes, the 3.5 should be no more different than any other MAP, just a 5volt source, and ground, then sends its signal to the PL. All you have to do is tell PL that you have a 3.5 vs. a 3.0

AEM also makes a 5 bar MAP thats about same cost as 3.5 and can use with PL.

The 3 bar tops out at 36.1 PSI. Found out the hard way.

I didn't think the 3 bar would read over 30psi

The 3-bar will only accurately read to about 31 psi.

I forgot to reset my boost controller after disconnecting the battery then made a hit at the track and the PLC showed boost pegged the scale at 36.1 .
I have a 3 bar map sensor.
