Problem saving file

I was parking today to go in to teach a class and stopped my very first recording so I can look at it later and did the f3 and the s and named the file. Another window popped up and could not see what it said but could tell it had a location or filename I think in it and I clicked OK and noticed that it said a system mismatch or something to that sort when saving it.

I loaded the newest ver on the laptop and the scanmaster has the new chip in it. What else do I need to look at? I do get to see the gauges and all while driving.

Need to know more about exactly where you were trying to save the file.

I was just saving it to the powerlogger folder on the desktop.

My guess is you have some files in the wrong location, or maybe the folder is read only.

I bought a new laptop with Windows 10 and I am not able to save a file on it just like the older laptop.

What version powerlogger and firmware are you using?
Connect with powerlogger and press the 'about' button on the help tab and give me the numbers there.
