First screen on gauge not showing AFR

When starting the car the gauge is showing millivolt, perhaps narrow band O2, rather than AFR.

Interestingly it does show AFR when PL screen is open on the laptop while connected to gauge with car running. As soon as disconnecting laptop the gauge reverts to millivolt.

How to get the gauge to always show AFR?

It should stay how you set it in the powerlogger software.
How old is your scan G? What version does it display when you first power it up?

are you running the PLC program from a compressed folder or from the CD?

can you attach the PLC.ini file to a post here so I can take a look?

Downloaded the zip folder, not CD. Tried attaching the .ini file but it won't because it says "not an allowed extension." Is there an email to send it?

if you are running PLC from inside the zipped/compressed folder, the settings changes will likely not get saved.

drag the PLC program out of the zipped folder (onto the desktop, another folder, or wherever), and double-click it there.

let me know if the symptom changes. If not, open the ini file in notepad and look for this: DisplaySCMG_Comms=1

let us know what you find.

Redownloaded the PLC zip file from this site. Copied all files into another folder.

DisplaySCMG_Comms=1 is visible in the ini file

Problem still not resolved.

That option is saved in the powerlogger's memory. So I would try reflashing the powerlogger with the latest firmware (if you haven't already).
If that doesn't work, then you'll need to send the powerlogger in, so we can see what's going on.
