Could not process CommInstruction

First time I've fired up the car since like August. Trying to connect TS and receiving the below error. When I unplug the cable and plug it in or go to File and uncheck "Work offline" it does go green and connects for a second, then goes offline. Thoughts?

@EricM Any thoughts? Rebooted the PC figuring it was some windows bug. No luck. When I unplug the cord it works for a split second then goes gray, not connected.

Try this:
Inside the ECU is a little module that controls Wifi communication (if used). Once in a while it causes a conflict.
You can unplug that module by cutting the little silicon blob and pull straight up. (see pic)
With that removed, try to communicate again with USB.

Ok. Let me give that a shot. Maybe turn wifi on the laptop off first then try that.
I should have a backup of the base map before we did some tuning in BG. Not a huge deal though. Going to Dyno tune it in a week so no big loss there if it is the project.

@EricM The wifi module was the problem. I tried to turn off my BT & WiFi first. That didn't work. I pulled the wifi module and it's working now. I didn't try to reset it and try again. I have never used it before anyways.

Now to play with the fueling so the car starts in 30 degree temps.
