aem wideband

Just brought an aem wideband sensor and gauge identical to the one you sell on here, i have your latest velosyty chip in my typhoon as well, can i hook the wideband sensor to the ecu as well as using the gauge so i can datalog with it on tunerpro as well as having a visual reference at eye level? or run from the gauge directly to the ecu?

It depends on how your chip was programmed, and what exact wideband it is. AEM has a few different models and the output signal is different. If you have your order# or name, I can look up your chip. Then get the model of your AEM.

its the latest chip you do for the st/ty two variables and 4 dip switches and the sensor i have is the uego one as supplied with the aem afr gauge you sell on this site, i brought the chip via sportsmachines in November 2017 and its for a stock truck running a 3 bar map sensor so i don't have an order number (i emailed you a few times but maybe it went into your junk box as i didn't get a reply), I'm just going to replace the stock narrowband with it for now i think and wire it straight into the ecu as per your instructions and install the gauge at a later date. Can i adjust the chip parameters as the instructions say using my tunerpro or do i need your scanmaster to do it? any other information or is it a direct swap from the stock narrowband unit with the addition of an extra wire to the ecu? do i need to change the position of one of the dip switches after installation?
thanks
regards
Paul

The chips are not all the same, they are custom made. So need the model number of the AEM wideband to make sure, and the order# or chip# on the chip itself. It's on the label on the chip. If no wideband was specified when the chip was ordered, then I usually default it to PLX.

The parameters can be changed with tunerpro.

Once the wideband analog output wire is connected to the ECU, then you turn on switch 4 for narrowband simulation. Also make sure the wideband controller is grounded correctly to the engine block or ECU itself.

The number on the chip is 11767 velosyty 2.0 stock inj street 93 3-bar map, the gauge is P/N 30-0300 X-SERIES UEGO GAUGE Bosch LSU4.9, do you have a link to the instructions to changing the chip parameters using tunerpro as well please as I'm hoping to get it on a dyno soon, thanks

That chip won't work with your wideband. It would need to be reprogrammed.

Here is a link to the instructions for the chip.

You need to be connected and monitoring, and looking at INT (integrator) and BLM (block learn), on the data list, while doing the procedure with the gas pedal.

thanks, can i still rig the aem gauge up to datalog with the ecu and tunerpro as well still if i take the output from the back of the gauge?

No, the reading will not be correct. The chip needs to have the right calibration in it, to display the correct reading.

There is no sensor by itself that will work. You would need a wideband controller and sensor that is compatible with that chip, or I can reprogram your chip to be compatible with your AEM wideband system.
