AEM wideband install question

Ok, I guess it is about that time to upgrade from the O2sensor tunning to the wideband tunning. I was looking at the wiring diagram and it looks straight forward hooking it up to my powerlogger. However is there any required tricks to be able to pull it up on the PL screen? Anything that needs to be down loaded or installed like my Fuel pressure sender for the PL? Thanks

Nope, just set the wideband input to "AEM Gauge" and it should work ok. You'll be connecting the white wire from the AEM to #1 on the PL input board.

Please let me throw out one more question before I order the wideband. I have read a lot of different ideas on the proper location of the sensor from 6 inches after the first bend in the downpipe to anywhere under the car. Now, for me the easiest location to install it would be in the test pipe but I also have the means to install it in the downpipe. However it would require me removing the downpipe and then SS tig welding the bung in. Someone had also brought up the point that it should be angled to prevent condensation building up on it. Could you please shed some light on this? Thanks again, Glen

I've had good luck putting the bung in the DP, roughly next to the A/C accumulator, pointing upward. It's easy to get to when you need to change it, and doesn't seem to have problems with condensation. In the end, you could probably put it in either location and it would work ok.

Thanks for the info. I will get one orderd for my power logger asap.

What should I set my WB02 in PL.

Eric,

I bought the AEM Inline, PL and WB02 from you in 2011. In PL where is says WB input, what should I put AEM Inline or AEM gauge or PLX. I thought AEM Inline would be the correct one.

If it's the AEM Inline, then use the AEM Inline setting.

Thanks, just ignore the PM I sent. I need to get some data and have a few other people look at it and see if they can pinpoint what my issue is. I thought that I initially had the wrong setting for what type WBO2 I had input for Powerlogger.
