Scanmaster not working with 2.2 chip

I finish installing my powerlogger and replaced the chip in my scanmaster. Scanmaster data wire connected to powerlogger connection unit per instruction. When I key on, the scanmaster doesn't display 2.2 and PL from I read on the forums. The scanmaster always display 888 888 numbers. I tired reinstalling the chip multiple times with no success and inspected to make sure no bent pins during install. If i reinstall the old chip, the scanmaster will display 2.1. I have reflash the powerlogger with the software found on here and made sure scanmaster g is not selected in the option. I could be missing something so any help would be appreciated.

Maybe something is wrong with the 2.2 chip. If you can send it back to me, I'll check it out.

Yes it was bad, so I'm in the process of making another one. It may go out today or tomorrow.
