Powerlogger Software and Installation Docs

Here is the complete download if you don't have the CD. It is all the same files that would have been on the install CD, and includes the files above.
This is the latest version 2.6.8. You will have to unzip it, and the powerlogger folder is inside.

How to install the Scanmaster update chip:

If you already have Powerlogger working and you just want to update to 2.6.8, then download this file. Unzip (extract) it to your existing Powerlogger folder. You will just overwrite (replace) your old plc.exe with this new one, in your powerlogger folder. There is a file included in the zip called PL052.s19, which is the file you will use when reflashing the Powerlogger. Note if you have an SD2 chip, save your tune file before the reflash so you can reload it if necessary.

*** When updating the software to 2.6.8, you MUST also reflash the Powerlogger with the PL052 file, or it will crash if you try to go to monitor mode. ***

I updated the software to the newest 2.3.0 (the links in the first post are updated).

This version can be used with any chip. But also includes some new features for the SD2 chip.

You will have to update your plc.exe to 2.3.0. Overwrite your old PLC.exe file with this new one. Then reflash your Powerlogger with the file "PL043". The PL043 file should be created the first time you run PLC.

To reflash, connect to your powerlogger with laptop, key on/engine off, (not in monitor mode). Then press the reflash button at the bottom of the help tab. It should ask you what file, then select PL043. Follow the prompts.

Updated links in first post to version 2.5.1. Also need to reflash to PL044 (make sure to save your tune if an SD2 user).

Fixed bug where the scanmaster options were not saved all the time.

For SD2 users, an overboost fuel cut has been added. (Do not use this feature if using alcohol injection).

I downloaded the 2.5.2 zip file but when starting PLC and clicking the About PLC button, it shows up as 2.5.0 ?????

I think Bob forgot to update that screen that shows the version. I will check on it.

Ok, I think it's fixed. For some reason the link didn't update correctly, but it looks like its working now.
Let me know if you still have problems.

Updated the links in the first post with the latest Powerlogger software (PLX.exe, and the flash file PL051.s19). The changes are mainly for compatibility with the new Scanmaster G (gauge), however, there are some small bug fixes and improvements.

Updated powerlogger software links in first post, mainly for SD2 applications, to 2.6.8 and flash file PL052. This fixes some small bugs.

Bought powerlogger and installed. Having trouble communicating to ecu. In control panel, says yellow exclamation mark for serial port? Do i need serial to usb adapter?

Sounds like the drivers are not installed. You do not need a serial adapter.

How old is the powerlogger, and what version of windows are you using?

Ok brother. Disregard. Found my other laptop with windows 10 and uploaded cd and retried. Powerlogger connected first try. Must have a jankie old windows 7 laptop. Now the fun part of learning the tuning. Just wanted to connect first before wideband install.
