Powerlogger green light not turning on

Powerlogger was installed and working, notice the light on this spring, but now I wanted to do some tuning and the green light on the PL is not lighting up with the key on. It does a quick flash when I turn the key off though.

I would make sure it hasn't slid off the ECM connection. Make sure that connection is good.

I just completely pulled the board and reset it with no change. I did notice that after I unhook power to the ECM the first time I turn the key on the green light will flash once. After I have turned the key on once, it will not longer do the flash with the key on. It flashes once overtime I turn the key to the off position.

Are you getting any data from it? Does it show up in the device manager? If not, sounds like it's having problems and you might need to send it in.

No data, and doesn't show up in the devices. I just got a new laptop, which is why I hadn't been using the powerlogger yet this year. Can I get the info to send it in please.

I don't know for sure what it might cost to fix. If it's simple, it likely won't cost anything. But if the whole board needs replaced, that would be different. If it's under a year old, then its under warranty.

Eric, I forgot to put any type of information in with my PL that I shipped to you. The only thing that says it's mine is the return address label. Sorry.

I just notice one other thing, not sure if it's because the PL is no longer there.

My Scanmaster isn't showing data either. When I turn the key on, I get the SM 2.2 then a screen that says PL, then it shows --- ---, then it goes blank.

Maybe I have another issue.

You won't get any data anymore if the PL isn't there, since the Scanmaster is connected to the PL. Also, if you have a chip that relies on the PL for data (like wideband), make sure you don't get into boost.

I did receive it. However, I plugged it in and it seems to be working fine. The green light flashes on key on, and it connects to the laptop fine. I have not tested the Scanmaster yet though, that will be next.

Yes, I've been driving around on it and everything is working fine. I'll send it back to you so you can try it again. Maybe there is some kind of bad connection at your ECM connector.

Was this issue resolved ? I just bought a PL, just installed it and I'm experiencing the same thing. I checked all the connections and reseated the PL and same thing. Green light flashes when I key off.

Thanks for the replies. I got it working, just had to install the drivers. The green light only flashes when the power logger is connected to the computer and working properly
