Powerlogger edge connection

My powerlogger is pretty old, maybe 2005 or so. Lately it's been acting up, flashing the check engine light rapidly and killing the engine. If I just bump the edge connector it works again, but I have the issue again while driving (mostly when going over bumpy roads). Maybe the connector pins have lost tension over time? When it is fully seated it's pretty easy to wiggle and cause the check engine light to rapidly flash. Any advice?

It might be time for a new one or the ECM itself. The new powerloggers actually attach up inside the ECM more permanently, to a plastic post inside.

My ECM is pretty new, I just had Bob mod it a couple years ago. Sounds like I should get the new version of the powerlogger then, do you have the new ones in stock on your store?

I do have them in stock. Are you also using an SD2 chip? If you can, send me an email and we can iron out the details.

I do have the SD2 chip. I will try to reseat everything and give it one more shot. I also notice that the powerlogger wiggles about the axis of the edge of the connector (it doesn't stay parallel to the ECU PCB) so I put a shim between the powerlogger and the ecu to keep them aligned. The original sticky pad doesn't keep it attached anymore. I'll let you know if the problem continues thanks!
