2.2 Chip for SM

I just bought a new unused powerlogger second hand but it did not come with the chip to update scan master. How do I go about getting one so I can hook it to my powerlogger. Also I'm using windows 10. Is there any way of knowing if the powerlogger is the early or later one?

In general, if the board is a green color, then its the later one. The early ones were black in color. However, the ones that are set up to work a little better with win10 are newer still. There's no obvious way to tell until you try to connect. The 2.2 chip for the scanmaster is $20.
